Kurvers International Project a Success
KurversKurvers’ staff are pleased to be in their prestige new Putney offices before Christmas.  The fast track project was completed on time and in budget, and the finished office space has exceeded expectations.  High quality finishes were used throughout including Desso and Karndean flooring, double glazed partitions with blinds, storage wall and maple veneer furniture and seating from a UK manufacturer.  We and the Kurvers team are very pleased and proud of the work carried out and we wish them all the best in their new Putney home.

Manufacturer Moves to Charles Park, Dartford
ProadecFollowing the acquisition of their UK distributor, Proadec UK Ltd required larger and more efficient premises from which to supply the worldwide office furniture industries.

Protracted lease negotiations meant that Gifford Grant was given only 6 weeks, with no lead time, in which to fit out two units at Legal and General’s flagship Quadrant Court at Charles Park, Dartford.

The Project involved forming an opening between the two units (a first on this particular estate), fitting out to office areas plus creating a manufacturing area with space heating, overhead power supplies, fume extract and extensive storage racking.

Gifford Grant partner civil engineering giant…again!
Gifford Grant have been awarded a contract to refurbish BAM Nuttall’s (formerly Edmund Nuttall) training facility in Surrey.  The work will start in January and entails redecoration, new flooring throughout, some structural alterations and upgrading staff welfare facilities.  We all look forward to working with BAM Nuttall in the New Year!

Investing in our future...
Wax MediaHaving appointed Wax Media to build our new website, we have all started talking web speak!  We have been on a huge learning curve, and Sue has worked hard with Nick Higton from Wax Media www.waxmedia.co.uk to help us all better understand what SEO, CMS, WYSIWYG and Wireframe are! We will be carrying out an online survey in advance of our new site going live early in 2009, in which we hope you will participate.

Podium Finish for our Aston Martin Driver!
Aston Martin crashOur driver, David Such, achieved third place in the Aston Martin Classic Championship.
Having led the competition for most of the season, disaster struck in the last race when oil dropped by another competitor’s car caused David to spin 720o and hit the entrance to the pit lane, the car subsequently catching fire.

Fortunately, prompt action by our pit crew and some others got David clear of the car, which is now being rebuilt.

Watch out for our car next season!

Shooting Services, GG’s sister company, goes from strength to strength
Shooting ServicesShooting Services is a long established, wholly owned subsidiary of Gifford Grant, involved with firstly designing and constructing long range, high accuracy rifles (on a separate secure site), and secondly organising corporate shooting events for Gifford Grant’s clients and some of their clients. Corporate days, normally held at the world-famous Bisley ranges, can involve sporting and skeet clay pigeon, long range rifle, muzzle loading pistol, lever action rifle, and traditional target rifle shooting, or a combination of any of these. Shooting-based corporate entertainment can be a great team building catalyst.
