Whippet - Office Refurbishment and Fit Out - Putney, London, SW18
The excitement just kept on building... With each site meeting, phonecall, or email, there was a new ‘tweak’ to be incorporated within the interior design and fitting out project for Whippet’s new offices. The final result is a dynamic, inspirational office space that Whippet and Gifford Grant are proud of.

The 2 storey office was originally the marketing suite for the new, mixed use, Riverside development in Putney. Temporary welfare facilities, drylining and flooring were stripped out to leave the concrete shell and a blank canvas to start from. New raised floors and suspended ceilings were installed, the staircase enclosed in 15mm fire rated glass with an automatic fire shutter on the ground floor.
Engineered floorboards were laid to the ground floor, with Wavelength Byzanthium grey carpet tiles to the stairs and first floor. A new kitchen (with blackboard paint on one wall), toilets (with ‘padded cell’ wallpaper) and shower facilities were installed, complete with new air conditioning, fire and intruder alarm systems.
Feature drop lighting provides a dramatic image, visible from the street, and more industrial lighting features in the boardroom complements the brick effect wall coverings. The plasma TV has been recessed to sit flush with the surface of the exterior structural wall.
Both the boardroom and Skype rooms make use of silicon jointed polar glazing to allow light flow, with yet more client designed wallpaper, manifestations and vinyl graphics. Coloured emulsion was used to differentiate further areas of the office to dramatic effect.
