Martin McColl - Office refurbishment and landlord's fit out
After the merger of Forbuoys and Martins the Newsagents chain, the company was left with a surplus Head Office building in Woking, Surrey dating from the early 1980s. Apart from two minor sub-lets the building was standing empty and required substantial updating.

Gifford Grant was appointed to assemble a professional team to upgrade the building to modern standards, including the installation of new air conditioning and ventilation, upgraded toilets and fully refurbish office floors in the northern half of the building.
Gifford Grant identified the opportunity to install new ceilings at a higher level and install a raised floor without loss of overall height, achieving enhanced rental levels.
During the refurbishment two tenants were signed, one of which, a seismic data processing company, required a bespoke computer room which was incorporated within the overall time-scale.
Subsequently the tired outdated entrance at the western end was completely redesigned to conform with the latest changes to statutory regulations, and new signage installed to reflect the rebranding of the building.
