Magic Software Enterprises - Office Fit Out - Bracknell, Berkshire

Gifford Grant has completed the fitting out of new office space for Magic Software Enterprises. The premises identified was part of a modern addition to the historic Lily Hill House, built between 1814-1817, owned by Henry Dormer Vincent. His son, Henry William Dormer Vincent, was responsible for further extension to the house during the 1850’s. The house was eventually converted for business use, with a major 10,000 sq.ft. extension added in 1981. In 2000 extensive modernisation was carried out while retaining the charm and character of the original house. The atrium and new offices to the rear of the house were added.

In contrast to the ‘old house', the new addition boasts floor to ceiling windows, raised access floors, HVAC air conditioning system and controlled lighting system. Gifford Grant designed a new office scheme using full height silicon jointed glass to retain the flow of light and the views over the tennis courts, walnut full height doors and office furniture with cable management. A new power and data infrastructure was designed and installed, with AV systems to the boardroom and meeting room, and a staff tea-point. The project was managed by Gifford Grant from design to relocation and completed on schedule and within budget.

The finished offices are the perfect modern home for a software company, in a peaceful, parkland setting within easy reach of the M3, M4 and M25.

Once Gifford Grant had relocated Magic Software into their new offices in Bracknell, the next part of the project was to carry out the dilapidations work in their former offices. This involved the complete refurbishment of the space including the removal of all existing partitions, stripping out the electrical and alarm wiring, reconfiguring to suit an open plan layout, new carpets and decoration throughout.
