Structural investigations were carried out prior to blockwork walls being knocked down, rundown welfare facilities were removed and the whole area was stripped out to open up the space. With the installation of new DDA compliant welfare facilities, new flooring, ceilings, blinds, lighting, electrics and decoration throughout, the space has been transformed for the staff and the car owners, reflecting the high level of service provided by HWM.

The project is the fifth major scheme undertaken by Gifford Grant for HWM and follows the completion, during 2010, of the refurbishment of a 1950’s industrial building adjacent to Hersham station as a service facility for Intercontinental Cars Ltd, a subsidiary of HWM Aston Martin.

The building divides into a modern service facility for HWM’s Alfa Romeo marque with all new vehicle lifts, compressed air and exhaust extract installations, new and waste oil tanks and staff facilities.

The project has also provided a state of the art servicing facility for Aston Martin Heritage customers and cares for classic Aston Martins such as DB4s, 5s and 6s and the 1970s to 1990s V8s, Virage and Vanquish.
